- Broken Jaw
- Bitten Tongue or Lip
During the root canal procedure, your inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of your tooth is cleaned and disinfected. To prevent your canals from becoming re-infected with bacteria, the canals are filled and sealed with a rubber-like material known as gutta-percha. Lastly, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection. Once restored, your tooth will continue to work like any other tooth. While the process of receiving a root canal may sound frightening and painful, please know that this isn’t the case. Dr. Wilson and the team and Cornerstone Family Dentistry will ensure your safety and comfort throughout the entire procedure.
