Partial Denture Care Instructions

Congratulations on your new appliance! Below you’ll find helpful information to care for your new smile and keep it looking and feeling its best.

Daily Care Instructions
  • Handle with care
Be careful not to drop your appliance—it can break if it hits a hard surface.
  • Brush your appliance at least twice a day
Once in the morning and again before bed. Use the large brush we gave you (or a similar one from the store) with either toothpaste or a gentle soap.
  • Soak your appliance overnight
Always keep your partial in water at night to prevent it from drying out. You can add a denture-cleaning tablet (like Efferdent) to help reduce bacteria.

Don’t Forget Your Natural Teeth
  • Continue your normal oral hygiene routine
Floss once a day, preferably at night, to remove food particles between your teeth.Brush your teeth twice daily—for at least two minutes—once in the morning and once at night.

  • Too tight or too loose?
If your partial feels uncomfortable or begins to loosen, please call us. We can adjust it to improve the fit.
  • Sore spots?
