5 Reasons We are Thankful at Cornerstone Family Dentistry

5 Reasons We are Thankful at Cornerstone Family Dentistry

With Thanksgiving having just passed, it has us thinking about all the reasons to be thankful.  Family and friends and Christmas just around the corner are all things to be thankful for, and we at Cornerstone Family Dentistry have some things that make us pretty grateful too!  Here are our top five things to be thankful for in the dentistry world.

  1. Teeth!

Ok sure, without teeth we are out of a job, so that alone gives us reason to be thankful for teeth.  But teeth are also incredibly important to our everyday life.  You probably know that without teeth, it would be impossible to chew up food, but did you know that it would also be incredibly difficult to talk?  It is your teeth and tongue working together that help you form words.  Because our teeth are so extremely important, it is crucial that we take care of them.  A daily routine of brushing twice a day for two minutes each time and flossing once a day is a great place to start.  In addition, visiting your dentist twice a year for a routine checkup and professional cleaning will ensure your teeth are as healthy as possible.

  1. Confident Smiles

Having a bright and beautiful smile can greatly help boost your self-confidence, and that makes us thankful there are several relatively simple and non-invasive ways to get beautifully straight teeth.  At Cornerstone Family Dentistry we use advanced technology and training to help your transition into braces simple and effective.  Perhaps your teeth are straight but you are insecure about their yellow stains.  We can help with this, too!  We offer several whitening options that will help get rid of stains and brighten your teeth.  Whether your teeth are crooked or not as white as you’d like, we are thankful for technology that can give you the confident smile you deserve.

  1. State-of-the-Art Equipment

This year we have something new to be thankful for.  We are pleased to announce that this year we added a CBCT/Ceph machine to our office.  The CBCT/Ceph machine, short for Cone-beam computed tomography systems, captures data using a cone-shaped X-ray beam.  While most conventional X-ray machines provide two-dimensional images, the CBCT/Ceph machine will give us three-dimensional data and will allow us to better diagnose certain conditions as well as find the right treatment plans.

  1. Working with Children

While we love all our patients, at Cornerstone Family Dentistry we are especially grateful to work with children.  Children are often nervous when going to the dentist for the first time, so our team is committed to creating a comfortable and friendly environment for our young patients.  We are also thankful for the opportunity to inspire children to start out on the right path.  Healthy oral hygiene habits that begin in childhood are often carried out into adulthood and can make a considerable difference in our overall health.

  1. Amazing patients

More than anything else, this Thanksgiving season we are grateful for you, our patients.  We love caring for our local community and helping to give you the bright and healthy smile you deserve.
